![]() We have worked in conference organisation agencies, conference centres and convention bureaus, experience that has given us a thorough and multi-faceted knowledge of the market. Our goal in setting up Meeting Consultants was to use our experience to help clients achieve success in the meetings industry. Over the years, we have met clients with different issues and needs, to which we have sought to find appropriate solutions directly, or by making use of external partners when necessary, occasionally turning down an assignment if we did not think we could make the difference. But every client has added to our experience and helped us to grow our company. This is our history, and the most important asset of Meeting Consultants. |
![]() Maria Gabriella Gentile has enjoyed a long career in the meetings industry, mainly within Bologna's Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi conference centre, where, since 1983, she has engaged in a variety of roles: public relations, conference organisation, travel agency technical management and sales management. In February 2001, she established Meeting Consultants Srl based in Bologna. She runs university and training courses on topics related to the meetings industry and has deigned and held seminars for industry professionals. Since 2006, is a contract lecturer in "Events Management and Cultural Organisations" at the School of Languages and Literatures of the University of Bologna. Since 2009 is head of the Learning Center of Federcongressi&eventi. She has been involved in national and international industry associations as a member of the executive boards of IAPCO (International Association of Professional Congress Organisers), MPI (Meeting Professionals International), Meet in Italy and Federcongressi&eventi. She has also been chairperson of MPI Italia Chapter and Vice President of Federcongressi&eventi. |
![]() Gabriella Ghigi began her experience in the meetings industry in Milan in 1985, as project leader at agency MGR, when she was responsible for organising conferences and conventions. In 1990, she became manager of Rimini's Palacongressi Conference Centre. In 1994, she helped establish the Riviera di Romagna Convention Bureau, which she managed until December 1999. From 2000 to 2003, she launched and managed the Turin Convention Bureau. She runs university and training courses on topics related to the meetings industry. She has played an active role in industry associations, as a board member in MPI, Italcongressi and AIMP. She chaired Palacongress Italia and subsequently Meet in Italy, and has sat on various Federcongressi committees. She joined Meeting Consultants in 2003, when she set up the company's Milan office, for which she conducts feasibility studies for conference centres and convention bureaus, as well as undertaking market analyses, education and marketing activities. |
